Black Italy works on its imaginary through a field research on abandoned places in internal Italy by archiving editorial, filmic, visual, sonic samplings; cultural recordings selected for the dual property of being traces of historical and subaltern conditions and traces for contemporary and radical actions.
Since 2019 Black Italy has been producing a sequence of projects for clients engaged in cultural research.
The coherence of the projects respect to an imaginary built on a territorial scale is in their scenic character, in analogy of abandoned houses in the inland territories of the Country, seductive structures that allow complex behaviours. The spaces are surveyed through body movements and designed as sets of gestures and relationships.
